MS_virtually_mapped.fasta This file contains sequences in fasta format of all markers with a position in the porcine genome determined by in silico mapping. MS_without_mapposition.fasta This file contains sequences in fasta format of all markers which could not be put on porcine genetic maps by in silico mapping. markerinfo.txt This file contains detailed information about each microsatellites that are virtually mapped. It is a tab-delimited text file. The first nine columns contains information about the marker: marker name, genebank accession number, trace archive accession number, name of original sequence, number of different repeats (>= 10 repeats) in the sequence, type of repeat (di, tri, tetra.), and base number for left flanking sequence, microsatellite and right flanking sequence. The next ten columns contains information about the homologous human region (NCBI, build 36) identified by BLAST for each sequence: GI number, genomic contig name, start and end of hit in genomic contig, +/- strand information, human chromosome, start and end of hit on chromosome, E-value and number of identities are given. The last two columns contains comments (similarity to previously identified markers) and categorization of markers based on length of flanking sequence.
